Question
What does the Welsh Government define as a salaried GP?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Health and Care (Mabon ap Gwynfor)
A salaried GP is a medical practitioner whose name is included in the General medical Council (GMC) General Practitioner Register, who is employed under a contract of employment by a GP practice or health board, rather than holding a General Medical Services (GMS) contract as an independent contractor or partner.
