Question
What discussions has the Cabinet Minister had with counterparts across the UK regarding the red weather warning currently in effect?
Answer
Answered by Deputy Minister for Public and Preventative Health (Nerys Evans)
As part of the Welsh Government’s response coordination arrangements, ministers have been kept informed of engagement with counterparts across the UK. Officials have maintained close coordination with the UK Government, including the COBR Directorate, to ensure a shared understanding of risks and a coordinated response across the UK.
We are also assured that NHS organisations are implementing their adverse weather plans and taking proactive action in response to the current red weather warning.
