Question
How is the Welsh Government promoting membership of the army reserve?
Answer
Answered by Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Minister for Social Justice and Equality (Sioned Williams)
Armed Forces engagement and recruitment are reserved matters for UK Government / Ministry of Defence. As an employer, the Welsh Government maintains a supportive Reserve Forces Policy for its staff. This supports both mobilisation and demobilisation and includes time off for training and voluntary operations for both Volunteer Reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers.
