Welsh Conservatives Debate - New UK Government's first six months
The Welsh Conservatives, led by Paul Davies, asked the Senedd to regret UK Labour Government policies on farm inheritance tax, winter fuel payments and employer's national insurance, and to call for action. Welsh Labour's Jane Hutt replaced most of the text with wording that backs the UK Government. The Senedd agreed the amended motion.
- Motion without amendment
Paul Davies's original motion (Welsh Conservatives), which regrets UK Government tax and benefit changes and asks the Welsh Government to press for reversals and consider a Welsh winter fuel allowance.
Rejected - Amendment 1, tabled in the name of Jane Hutt
Jane Hutt's amendment (Welsh Labour), which deletes everything after the first point and replaces it with wording that welcomes UK Government funding and says devolved matters should come first in the Welsh budget.
Agreed - Motion as amended
The final vote on the motion as changed by Jane Hutt's amendment, which backs the UK Government's decisions and its funding for Wales.
