What is the Welsh Government's assessment of the impact of inflation on outsourcing arrangements at Welsh health boards?

Atebwyd gan Minister for Health and Social Services
The Welsh NHS is currently facing a number of inflationary pressures including the impact of energy prices; increases in the price of medicines; and general inflation in the economy which impacts the NHS in its non-pay items such as food and provisions. This has impacted various contracts in place across health boards with suppliers of goods and services.
Local Health Boards are themselves responsible for assessing costs of any outsourcing arrangements they enter into and, in line with the consideration of any contracting, reviewing the value for money offered by any outsourcing activity.
