What action is the Welsh Government taking to help encourage people purchasing puppies in Wales to select high-welfare and low-volume dog breeders?

The Welsh Government funded Animal Licensing Wales project has significantly raised standards for licensed breeders across Wales, providing the public with a source to find a well-adjusted legally bred puppy.
In addition to hosting Responsible Dog Ownership summits, officials work closely with key stakeholders to promote and support their media and education campaigns, helping guide the public in promoting awareness and how to responsibly source well-adjusted healthy puppies.
