What percentage of adults in Wales are assessed as lacking basic financial literacy skills, and what progress has the Welsh Government made to improve this over the past five years?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Minister for Education and the Welsh Language (Anna Brychan)
Welsh Government does not hold specific data on financial literacy skills of adults in Wales.
Welsh Government recognises the importance of financial literacy, which is a mandatory part of the Curriculum for Wales for learners aged 3 to 16. We will publish a new Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Plan later this year, which will take a clear, system-wide focus on higher standards, stronger teaching and better support, so every learner can achieve in literacy and numeracy - including financial literacy - and no learner is left behind.
