Question
What assessment has the Cabinet Minister made of the legislative viability of the Government's proposed electoral system reforms, given the statutory requirement for a two-thirds majority in the Senedd, and what consensus-building protocols are in place to ensure departmental resources are not expended on non-viable constitutional proposals?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Government Effectiveness & the Constitution (Dafydd Trystan Davies)
This Government is committed to strengthening democracy in Wales. This includes working to build a cross-party majority to adopt the Single Transferable Vote for future Senedd elections.
