Question
Will the Cabinet Minister a) ensure that the proposed terms of reference for the National Commission for Wales are limited to manifesto commitments of independence planning and devolution of the Crown Estate, rail and justice; and b) rule out extending its remit to include reviews of Senedd voting systems?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Government Effectiveness & the Constitution (Dafydd Trystan Davies)
The current devolution settlement is in urgent need of reform so that it improves outcomes for people in Wales. The Welsh Government is taking forward an ambitious programme of constitutional reform, including establishing a new National Commission for Wales. I shall set out the Commission’s remit in due course.
